ORRVILLE, Ohio — It was an emotional scene Sunday night at Wayne County Speedway as Trey Jacobs won the Pete Jacobs Memorial sprint car race.
Jacobs started third and inherited the lead when leader Henry Malcuit suffered a flat tire on lap 23 of the 40-lap run.
Jacobs led the rest of the distance to earn his first All Star Circuit of Champions victory in a race named for his great grandfather.
The victory was worth $10,000.
Cale Thomas finished second, with Cap Henry, Zeth Sabo and Greg Wilson completing the top five.
