KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Fifty-three drivers are scheduled to compete on Thursday’s opening night of the 36th annual Xtream powered by Mediacom 360 Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway.
The stellar field includes three 360 Nationals winners and Kyle Larson among others.
Aaron Reutzel, the 2022 winner, will pilot the Ridge & Sons No. 87 in which he’s won both 410 and 360 features this season.
Giovanni Scelzi, who won the 360 Nationals in 2021, wheels the Spire Motorsports No. 77. A High Limit Racing regular like Ruetzel, Scelzi won the Don Martin Memorial at Lernerville Speedway in late July.
Australian James McFadden won the 360 Nationals in 2019 and he’ll drive the Tarlton Motorsports No. 21t on Thursday night.
A three-time winner of the 410 Knoxville Nationals, Larson has yet to win the 360 version of the event. He’ll do double duty in Iowa also racing in the NASCAR Cup Series race at nearby Iowa Speedway. Larson will drive Paul Silva’s familiar No. 57 sprint car.
High Limit is well represented in Thursday’s field with Chase Randall, Daison Pursley, Tanner Holmes, Corey Day, Brock Zearfoss and Justin Peck all in action.
Knoxville Raceway champions Carson and Austin McCarl will also compete, while the nation’s leading 410 feature winner this season, Chase Dietz, is also entered.
Finally, frequent 360 winners Chris Martin and Seth Bergman are among the others in the field.
Thursday and Friday night features will pay $3,000 to win, while Saturday night’s main event offers $20,000 to win, with the possibility of adding another $15,000 in lap money.
