Recent IndyNxt winner Josh Pierson and Nashville Speedway Advocate and vintage IndyCar collector Greg Goodman join Will Marotti on this week’s episode of The Pits Are Open
Josh Pierson, the 20-year-old Portland, Oregon driver now racing for Andretti Global in INDY NXT. His résumé is unusually broad for an INDY NXT driver because he has significant experience in open-wheel cars, LMP2 prototypes, IMSA, WEC, the Rolex 24 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Pierson’s Laguna win was his first career INDY NXT victory, coming in his 53rd series start. Pierson started extremely young in karting and accumulating multiple championships. He twice represented Team USA in international karting competition before moving into formula cars at 13.
Instead of simply continuing straight up the American open-wheel ladder, Pierson moved heavily into prototype endurance racing, with four WEC podiums and 12 WEC top-10s, plus two IMSA podiums and 11 IMSA top-10s during his LMP2 period.
Greg Goodman is the Producing Area Branch Manager for SWBC Mortgage in Franklin, Tennessee, where he has earned a reputation for helping homebuyers and real estate professionals navigate the mortgage process with confidence.
