Austin McCarl Inherits 34 Raceway Prize

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa — Iowa native Austin McCarl was declared the winner of Saturday night’s co-sanctioned Midwest Open Wheel Ass’n and Interstate Racing Ass’n sprint car event at 34 Raceway.

Teenager Chase Randall took the checkered flag first aboard his familiar No. 9 sprint car, but his car was too light in post-race inspection and McCarl, who finished second aboard his No. 88 machine was declared the winner of the 30-lap contest.

Cory Eliason, who started 14th, was credited with second, while Parker Price-Miller, Joe B. Miller and Corbin Gurley rounded out the top five.
