BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A packed grandstand celebrated Independence Day at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday night as the American 250 featured Limited Pro Late Models, Kern Spec Racers, drag boat exhibitions, and a fireworks spectacular.
Jeffery Peterson captured the 100-lap Limited Pro Late Model feature, crossing the finish line 3.024 seconds ahead of Cody Kiemele. Joey Iest completed the podium in third, while Christian Bazen finished fourth after running all 100 laps.
In the Kern Spec Racers feature, Tanner Huddleston drove to victory in the 50-lap main event. TJ Moon finished second, just 1.870 seconds behind the winner, with Rider Gardner edging Ryan Partridge for third by only 0.017 seconds.
The evening also featured drag boat exhibition races before the night concluded with a fireworks display for the large holiday crowd.
