Feger Flies In Corn State Preliminary

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Jason Feger dominated night one of the Corn State Nationals at the Davenport Speedway.

The Bloomington, Illinois racer set quick time in MARS qualifying with a lap of 13.702 seconds. Jason then won his heat race and led all 30 laps of the A-main.

Garrett Alberson gave chase early in the race with Ryan Unzicker the pursuer late in the event. Both would get close to Feger, but neither could mount a pass for the lead. The current MARS point leader, Feger collected a check for $5,000 for his efforts.

Unzicker would finish second with Alberson third. Shannon Babb raced from 14th starting spot to finish fourth. Frank Heckenast Jr. finished fifth.

Zach Zeitner came away with the win in the The Outhouse / Storage to Go IMCA Late Models.

Rob Henry was the winner in the Koehler Electric Street Stocks.
