Davenport Runs The Gauntlet, Breaks The Bank

BULLS GAP, Tenn. — Jonathan Davenport broke the bank after winning Saturday night’s The Gauntlet dirt late model feature at Davenport Speedway.

Davenport won the $30,000-to-win feature and collected a $100,000 bonus from promoter Vic Hill that was posted over the four-day event. The Georgia late model ace earned more than $137,500 for four nights of work at the three-eighths-mile race track.

Leading all 60 laps on Saturday night, Davenport earned his seventh victory of the season.

Ricky Thornton Jr. finished second, with Mike Marlar, Cody Overton and Chris Madden completing the top five.
