MODOC, S.C. — Cody Overton won for the third time in three races over the weekend, topping Sunday night’s Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series race at Modoc Speedway.
Overton, who swept a pair of Hunt the Front features at Swainsboro Raceway, blasted from fourth-starting spot to the lead on the opening lap.
From there, he led the remainder of the 50-lap event to earn a $17,500 prize. As a result, Overton banked $37,500 over three nights.
Ross Bailes charged from 14th on the grid to finish second.
Joseph Joiner, Ashton Winger and Brandon Overton completed the top five.
