RINGGOLD, Ga. — Dale McDowell led all 40 laps to win Saturday’s Gobbler for the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series at Boyd’s Speedway.
McDowell earned $10,000 for taking the 34th annual event ahead of Mack McCarter.
Cory Hedgecock, Michael Page and Michael Chilton rounded out the top five.
Chilton was the fast qualifier for the 39-car late model field.
