Gabe Brown Cops Star Speedway ACT Tilt

EPPING, N.H. — The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour rolled into Star Speedway for the rain-delayed Coastal Clash 150 on Sunday.

Point leader Gabe Brown claimed the victory.

Thunder Road invader Brandon Gray earned the pole position in heat race qualifying action with Erick Sands to his outside.

Gray would maintain the early lead before Sands fought back to lead lap 12 by a bumper cover. The two-by-two fight for the lead ended abruptly as the hood went up over Kaiden Fisher’s windshield and after three blind laps Fisher spun off turn three to call out the first caution.

Behind them came Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour point leader Gabe Brown, picking off the top-ten slowly but surely before catastrophe struck.

A torn alternator wire ended the strong day for Erick Sands, sending him pitside on lap 56 leaving the Gabe Brown Show from then on.

Brown showed the way while chaos ensued in the back of the field as more and more laps on the aged Star quarter mile left those with little grip left in the final chapter of the event.

Brown would take down the Coastal Clash 150 while a successful recovery saw Kaiden Fisher in second and Jake Johnson maintained a top-10 position all race long to finish in third.

Jesse Switser battled back from a heat race penalty to take fourth at the end of 150 laps with Star Speedway regular Nathan Leclair finishing out the top five.
