The Kalitta Motorsports NHRA Top Fuel team is firing on all cylinders.
The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series made its first visit to Maryland International Raceway over the weekend, but a first-time race track did nothing to slow the Kalitta Motorsports juggernaut.
Shawn Langdon charged to his third consecutive Top Fuel victory and fourth in the past six races, defeating teammate Doug Kalitta by a narrow margin in the final round. It was also the fourth straight triumph for Kalitta Motorsports as Kalitta started the four-race winning streak.
Angie Smith collected a milestone 200th NHRA national victory for female racers when she won Sunday’s Pro Stock Motorcycle finale.
Austin Prock earned his first Funny Car victory of the season, while Greg Anderson won in Pro Stock.
