Sprint Rankings: Gravel Leads 20 Eligible Drivers

As the weather has warmed, the National Sprint Car Rankings are also gaining momentum.

Twenty drivers have now recorded the 20 starts required to be eligible for the national rankings, while 102 410 winged sprint car features have been run with 471 drivers starting at least one feature.

World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel is now at the top of the national standings, boasting a 5.048 average finish in 21 starts.

Carson Macedo ranks second with a 5.750 average finish in 24 races, while Chase Dietz is third. Buddy Kofoid and Danny Dietrich round out the top five.

Darin Naida has taken the lead in the Great Lakes region, while Robbie Price is now at the top of the Northwestern stanza standings.

Other regional leaders are Dietz (Eastern), Aaron Reutzel (Western), Michael “Buddy” Kofoid (Mid-America), Austin McCarl (Great Plains), and Jacob Bergenwald (PA-OH).

Commissioned by Tom Deery and Brian Carter in 2009, the Sprint Car Rankings are administered by longtime racing official Gary Spaid.

Dietz leads the country with eight feature victories as 56 drivers have combined to win the 102 features.
