FRANKLIN, Pa. — Jeremy Weaver scored the biggest win of his career, going wire-to-wire in the 25-lap FAST on Dirt sprint car feature Friday night at Tri-City Raceway Park.
Weaver beat pole-sitter and series points leader Ricky Peterson Jr. to turn one on the opening lap and never gave the top spot back.
The only caution of the race came early—lap two—for a mechanical issue on Jordan Ryan’s car, but once the green waved again, Weaver was in another zip code.
“I let one slip away here earlier this season,” Weaver said. “So, I just kept my foot down and never looked back. This is huge for me, for Bob McMillin, and everyone who works on this car. I’m pumped!”
Peterson gave chase and reeled in the leader a bit in the closing laps but couldn’t mount a serious threat. He finished second, with A.J. Flick tight behind in third.
Brandon Spithaler edged Cody Bova for fourth.
Mike Miller won the pro stock feature and Blaze Myers topped the RUSH sprint car main event.
