It was a rare winless week for Bobby Pierce, who has won 23 overall dirt late model features this season. Pierce also leads the World of Outlaws Late Model Series standings. Last Week: 1

Alex Palou enjoyed an off weekend for NTT IndyCar Series, which returns to action this weekend at Portland (Ore.) Int’l Raceway. Palou has won eight of the 14 races this season.

McLaren driver Lando Norris earned his fifth Formula 1 victory of the season in Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix. Norris enters the summer break nine points behind teammate Oscar Piastri in the title race. Last Week: Not Ranked

Will Byron earned his second NASCAR Cup Series victory of the season Sunday at Iowa Speedway and regained the point lead in the process. Last Week: Not Ranked

  1. Oscar Piastri

Formula 1 point leader Oscar Piastri finished second to McLaren teammate Lando Norris in Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix. Piastri leads Norris by nine points as Formula 1 takes the next month off. Last Week: 8

NHRA Funny Car point leader Austin Prock has five victories this season. The series gets back on the track Aug. 14-17 at Brainerd Int’l Raceway in Minnesota. Last Week: 9

  1. Buddy Kofoid

Buddy Kofoid won Saturday’s Ironman 55 at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park. It was his eighth World of Outlaws win of the season and his ninth overall victory. Last Week: Not Ranked
