Papasavvas Claims FR Americas Pole

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario — The battle continues in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) where Evagoras Papasavvas edged out championship rival Brady Golan for the pole position at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

With just 0.375 seconds separating the two drivers, Papasavvas (No. 71 Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3) earned his fourth podium of the 2026 season.

Golan (No. 40 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3), who entered the weekend just eight-and-a-half points behind Papasavvas in the championship standings, will complete the front row.

Kekai Hauanio (No. 29 N-E-Where Transport / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3), Cooper Shipman (No. 10 Driven Dynamix / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) and Luke Powers (No. 5 Wallace Heating & Air/Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3) will round out the top-five starters.

Papasavvas also led FR Americas’ practice on Friday morning. With a 1:15.100, the Crosslink Motorsports driver held a 0.197-second advantage over Shipman. Golan was third on the speed charts, but required repairs after sustaining damage from contact during the closing minutes of the session.
