MADERA, Calif. — Kyle Keller won his second consecutive Mission Pro Late Model feature at Madera Speedway on Saturday night.
Jeff Longman won his first-career Madera feature in a thrilling Mission Silver & Gold Modified Series 75-lap affair as well.
Keller started eighth for the Pro Late Model feature. The caution flew before the race even started when McKenna Hasse-Scott spun from third coming to green.
On the next attempt, outside polesitter Shaun Reynolds drove past Bristol Borneman to grab the lead. Keller marched through the field, grabbing second from 2024 Madera Late Model champion Trevor Schlundt by just the seventh lap.
Keller then drove past Renyolds to lead lap 13. 2025 points leader Jay Juleson advanced from the tenth starting position, challenging Reynolds for second on lap 25. Rick Thompson slowed with mechanical problems for a caution on lap 31.
Juleson utilized the restart to drive around the outside of Reynolds for second. Reynolds then backtracked on the outside line before the lap 50 break. Keller led Juleson, Will Martyn of Coarsegold, 15-year-old Hayden Stepps and Reynolds into the break.
The final 30-lap race to the finish was led comfortably by Keller. A tremendous duel unfolded for fourth between Martyn and Schlundt. Hasse spun in turn one in front of the battle, causing a close call and setting up a three-lap shootout to the finish. Keller darted away while Juleson defended second from Reynolds. The top-three each received a new set of Hoosier 970 Tires. Martyn and Schlundt rounded out the top five.
