CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Varying forecasts of rain showers by nightfall came to fruition in the Finger Lakes Region on Tuesday, forcing tour and track officials to postpone the highly anticipated return of the Super DIRTcar Series to Land Of Legends Raceway.
A make-up date has not yet been determined as of press time.
A stellar field of 32 Big-Block Modified teams rolled onto the Ontario Co. Fairgrounds by late afternoon, with drivers signing in from five states and Australia as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
Yet none were better than weekly speedway regulars Peter Britten, a native of Brisbane, Queensland downunder, and Matt Sheppard from nearby Waterloo.
