SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Brian Shirley picked up the victory in the season-opening MLRA Throwback for dirt late models at Springfield Raceway Friday night.
Shirley started on the pole and was never headed en route to a flag-to-flag victory in the 30-lap main event. He earned $5,036 for his first victory of the season.
Dillon McCowan finished second, with Tony Jackson Jr., Clay Stuckey and Billy Moyer completing the top five.
