McCarter Lands Ice Bowl Pole

EASTABOGA, Ala. — Pierce McCarter has earned the pole for Saturday’s 33rd running of the Ice Bowl at the Talladega Short Track.

McCarter won the first heat and earned the pole for the $7,500 DIRTcar super late model event on the quarter-mile dirt track.

Sam Seawright won the second heat and will start second, while heat three winner Christian Hanger starts third with Ryan Gustin, who topped the fourth heat, starting fourth in the 24-car main event.

John Oakley was the fast qualifier for the 32-car field with a lap of 13.271 seconds.

Will Roland will start on the pole for Saturday’s $4,000-to-win Crate Racin USA feature.

Ray Cook won the 30-lap sportsman feature, while Logan Hickerson topped the street stock main event.
