LASALLE, Ill. — Bobby Pierce led the final 64 laps to win Saturday night’s Illinois Valley Showdown at LaSalle Speedway.
The $25,000 MARS Late Model Championship Series conquest was Pierce’s second win of the weekend and his 16th of the dirt late model campaign.
Pierce started second and grabbed the point when polesitter Brian Shirley jumped the cushion on lap 11.
Leading the rest of the distance, Pierce led Ryan Unzicker to the checkered flag.
Brandon Sheppard, Tyler Erb and Chris Simpson rounded out the top five.
