In the Ross and Witmer 255 at Hickory Motor Speedway all eyes were on Cole Butcher as he looked to make it 3 in a row this season and for most of the 255 laps it looked as if he was going to pull it off, but during a caution with 40 laps to go, Butcher had to make an unscheduled pitstop. That turned the lead over to Simpsonville, SC’s Colby Howard.
For the next 36 laps, Howard maintained a 3 car length lead over NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliott to win in the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour.
