Shane Van Gisbergen Takes Pole For Xfinity Race At Sonoma

SONOMA, Calif — A week removed from his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory at Portland International Raceway, Shane van Gisbergen soared to the pole for Saturday’s Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 250 at Sonoma Raceway. 

Van Gisbergen laid down a lap of _ () in the second round to score his first career pole. Cup Series regular Ty Gibbs will join him on the front row as Austin Hill, A.J. Allmendinger and Justin Allgaier round out the top five. 

Sage Karam did not qualify. 

The race is scheduled for later Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
