HAMPTON, Ga. — Jesse Love continued the momentum from his season-opening victory by winning the pole for Saturday afternoon’s Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250 during qualifying Friday evening at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Love turned a lap of 31.730 seconds at 174.724 seconds to edge his Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet teammate, Austin Hill, who was second at 31.793 seconds. The pair will share the front row for the second NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season.
It was Love’s sixth pole in 35 NASCAR Xfinity Series races and his first of the season. It was also his third pole in three races at Atlanta.
Josh Williams of Kaulig Racing and Justin Allgaier of JR Motorsports will start in row two as Chevrolet drivers took the top four spots.
Sam Mayer was fifth in his Has Racing Ford.
Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota drivers Taylor Gray and Brandon Jones were sixth and seventh, respectively.
Chevrolet racers Carson Kvapil (JR Motorsports), Christian Eckes (Kaulig Racing) and Connor Zilisch (JR Motorsports) completed the top 10.
