CONCORD, N.C. — The wait is over. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will return to upstate New York in 2027.
Next year’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision schedule will include a full weekend of racing in the “Empire State.”
The trip north begins at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday, May 14, for the World of Outlaws Battle of the Eastern Door, followed by Can-Am Speedway on Saturday, May 15, hosting the Outlaws in the Islands 50, before the weekend concludes at Weedsport Speedway on Sunday, May 16, with the World of Outlaws Finger Lakes 50.
Plenty of cash will be up for grabs in the biggest weekend of Late Model racing ever held in New York. All three races will pay $20,000 to win and $1,500 to start, with more than $240,000 in purse money on the line over the course of the weekend.
While it’s been a decade since the World of Outlaws traveled to any of the three 2027 additions, they have all hosted the series in the past.
Mohawk’s lone previous World of Outlaws event in 2010 was won by Josh Richards, while the tour has visited Can-Am twice for races won by Rick Eckert (2009) and Tim Fuller (2010). Weedsport leads them all with four prior World of Outlaws races, with Chub Frank (2006, 2007), Shane Clanton (2015) and Richards (2016) each finding victory lane.
