Daytona Qualifying Cancelled, Larson On Pole

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Qualifying for Saturday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway has been cancelled, due to inclement weather.

With qualifying cancelled, last week’s winner Kyle Larson will start on the pole, alongside Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott. 

The lineup was set based on performance metrics from the previous race at Watkins Glen (N.Y.). Therefor, with his second place start and victory at the 2.45-mile road course, Larson was awarded the pole position.
