Buice Is ARCA’s Seventh Female Pole Winner

LONG POND, Pa. — Lanie Buice became the seventh female driver to win a pole for the ARCA Menards Series on Friday afternoon at Pocono Raceway.

Buice will lead the field for Friday afternoon’s Sunset Hill Shooting Range 150 after turning a lap of 166.593 mph on the 2.5-mile triangular shaped race track.

A female driver has now earned the Sioux Chief PowerPEX Pole 14 times in series history. The last time a female driver won the Sioux Chief PowerPEX Pole Isabella Robusto at Kansas Speedway on September 27, 2024.

In addition to Buice and Robusto, female pole winners in ARCA Menards Series competition are Patty Moise, Shawna Robinson, Erin Crocker, Milka Duno and Natalie Decker.

Crocker (now Erin Evernham) has the most poles with five.

Gio Ruggiero will start second.
