It’s Electric — Dumas Is King Of The Mountain

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Sunny skies and favorable conditions on Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain set the stage for an unforgettable 104th Running of The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, presented by Gran Turismo.

The much-anticipated battle of the three kings lived up to the hype as France’s Romain Dumas claimed his sixth King of the Mountain title in the all-electric Ford Super Mustang Mach-E with a winning time of 8:18.202.

Four-time King of the Mountain Robin Shute finished second with a time of 8:29:497 in the Sendycar V1, while defending champion Simone Faggioli finished third with a time of 8:32:997 in the Nova Proto NP01 ATM Bardahl.

Along the way, records fell and fans witnessed another thrilling chapter in the history of the Race to the Clouds.

Dan Novembre topped the Open Wheel class, while Laura Hayes claimed the GT4 class triumph.

IndyCar driver J.R. Hildebrand won the Time Attack 1 division and Jim Morris was the Front-Wheel Drive winner.

First staged in 1916, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is the second oldest race in America.
