Veteran motorsports executive Lee Ann Patterson and motorsports superfan Greg Goodman join Will Marotti this week on The Pits Are Open, premiering Thursday, July 29th at 6pm ET on SPEED SPORT 1.
Lee Anne Patterson is a veteran motorsports executive with more than 30 years of experience in IndyCar, sports car racing, and motorsports marketing. An Auburn University graduate, she began her career in radio before joining Sears Point Raceway and later managing Carroll Shelby’s Dodge Shelby Pro Series.
After moving to Indianapolis, she became a co-owner and team manager, overseeing sponsorship, marketing, operations, and corporate relations for IndyCar and Indianapolis 500 programs. Patterson later founded Ground Effects Marketing, a consulting firm specializing in sponsorship strategy and motorsports communications. She is also an author and advocate for women in racing, earning widespread respect as one of the sport’s most accomplished marketing and business leaders.
Greg Goodman is the Producing Area Branch Manager for SWBC Mortgage in Franklin, Tennessee, where he has earned a reputation for helping homebuyers and real estate professionals navigate the mortgage process with confidence.
Motorsports has been a lifelong passion, rooted in his family’s racing heritage. Greg’s father worked alongside NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. during the sport’s formative years, contributing to the design and construction of several early NASCAR racetracks; a legacy that helped shape Greg’s deep appreciation for the sport. Today, he combines his expertise in finance with a lifelong enthusiasm for racing, making him a valued supporter of motorsports and the racing community. Greg is the owner of a vintage Lola IndyCar driven by Mario Andretti.
