Glory Days: Hood Conquers Terre Haute

Ricky Hood (pictured) qualified third, ran second in his heat and stormed to an impressive victory in USAC sprint car action at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track.

Hood, aboard the Fortune No. 39a sprint car, took the lead on the second lap and raced far ahead of the field throughout the 30-lap event.

It was Hood’s second USAC victory in as many days, as he also took the checkered flag first the previous night at Lawrenceburg Speedway.
