Glory Days: Outlaws At Tri-State

Steve Kinser passed Sammy Swindell on the white-flag lap to win the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series feature at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., on July 14, 1991.

Swindell finished second after leading 39 laps, while Dave Blaney, Bobby Davis jr. and Danny Smith completed the top five.

Johnny Herrera (pictured racing with Jeff Swindell) was the fast qualifier with a 12.752-second lap of the quarter-mile dirt track. Herrera suffered a flat tire on the sixth lap and finished 16th. Jeff Swindell finished sixth.
