SFHR Plans Return To USF2000 Championship

INDIANAPOLIS — SFHR intends to return to the USF2000 Championship next season with an expanded multi-car effort.

The move marks a significant step forward in the team’s long-term commitment to driver development and competitive growth in the Road to Indy ladder.

After a four-year stint developing the team’s USF efforts with Elliot Cox, SFHR Development returned to the grid in 2025 with rookie driver Wian Boshoff piloting the No. 67 Filtaquip/ SFHR machine.

Despite a late start to the pre-season, the South African impressed with his rapid development and strong results, including top-10 finishes at marquee venues like Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Road America, Mid-Ohio, and Toronto. In addition, for the first time in the team’s ladder series commitments, SFHR Development engaged the No. 68 entry with a multi-car program for both Elliot Cox and Simon Sikes alongside Boshoff.

While Boshoff will unfortunately miss the season finale in Portland due to unforeseen visa issues, the team remains confident in their long-term plans and have already confirmed Boshoff will return to their USF program for next season.

In addition to Boshoff’s continued presence, SFHR Development is now laying the groundwork to field additional cars for the full 2026 campaign.

“We have made major investments in real estate, cars, equipment, personnel, driver coaching, and simulation programs over the last year, so running multiple entries is the next logical step for us—not just from an engineering and performance standpoint, but for the health and sustainability of the program,” said Andy O’Gara, SFHRD Team Principal. “We’re actively seeking quality, funded drivers to join the team and help us take this next step towards the future we’re creating for our program.”

With a clear direction, proven leadership, and a strong foundation in place, SFHR Development is poised for an exciting chapter as it builds toward a multi-car resurgence in 2026.
