Round four of NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship at the Texas Motorplex had a little bit of everything.
Antron Brown ended point leader Shawn Langdon’s four-race winning streak in the Top Fuel division, defeating him in the semifinals before getting past rookie of the year contender Maddi Gordon in the final to earn his 83rd career victory.
Langdon still holds a commanding point lead with two races remaining.
J.R. Todd kept his Funny Car title hopes alive by defeating point leader Matt Hagan in the final round.
Dallas Glenn regained the point lead in the Pro Stock division with his fifth victory of the season, while Matt Smith topped the Pro Stock Bike class.
