Sprint Rankings: Gravel Extends Advantage

During a week in which 20 winged 410 sprint car programs were completed, David Gravel increased his advantage in the National Sprint Car Rankings.

The World of Outlaws point leader swept a pair of races for the traveling series at Canada’s Ohsweken Speedway. Gravel’s seventh and eighth wins of the season lowered his average finish to 2.783 in 23 races this season.

Seventeen drivers have now reached the 20-start plateau to be eligible for the national rankings. Logan Schuchart continues to rank second with an average finish of 6.609 in 23 races.

Carson Macedo, Danny Dietrich and Buddy Kofoid round out the top five.

Anthony Macri continues to set the pace in the Eastern region. Tanner Holmes has taken over the top spot in the Western region, while Carson Macedo maintained the lead in the Mid-America region.

With a pair of victories over the weekend, Cap Henry extended his lead in the Great Lakes region. Austin McCarl paces the Great Plains region. Ricky Peterson moved to the head of the class in the PA-OH region, while Trey Starks maintained the top spot in Northwestern.

Sixty-three drivers have combined to win the 108 features run this year, while 498 drivers have made at least one 410 winged sprint car start this year. Gravel leads the nation with eight victories.
