HILLIARD, Fla. — Four-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion and 2006 World 100 winner Earl Pearson Jr. will return to driving at Eldora Speedway on October 9-10.
Pearson has been semi-retired since October of 2024 when he last competed at Lucas Oil Speedway in a super dirt late model.
Earl will compete in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader “The UNOH Clash at the Wabash” at the iconic Eldora Speedway on Friday October 9 for $10,000-to-win and on Saturday for a $50,000-to-win series feature event.
Pearson will drive the No. 1 Longhorn Chassis maintained out of the Longhorn Chassis stables with a Cornett Racing Engine.
“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel at Eldora Speedway. Looking forward to seeing a lot of my friends and family that will be attending the event,” Pearson said. “I have to give special thanks to Steve Arpin and Justin Labonte for helping to put this whole deal together for me. I especially want to thank all the sponsors that have come on board for this event at Eldora Speedway and be part of this deal with me. We will have some of my former crew members and friends helping on the car that weekend including my great friends Matt Langston and Jason Fitzgerald.”
Pearson was recently inducted into the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame back in August recognizing his illustrious career.
“I also want to especially thank Morgan and the entire Lucas Oil Products family for their support of this event and all the years they supported me,” Pearson said. “It is incredible to know that relationship started back in 2001 and that I was the longest sponsored athlete/driver for Lucas Oil. They are genuinely great people that have done so much for my career and the entire industry of motorsports. It has been a great journey, and I am looking forward to having their name across the front nose as always,” stated Earl Pearson Jr.
