ALGER, Wash. — A packed house for the 71st season opener at Skagit Speedway saw Trey Starks win for the 13th time since 2012 in the Karmart USA 410 Sprint Cars.
Jesson Jacobson won the first main event of the year in the Sportsman Sprints and Jeff Westergard opened defense of his IMCA Modified championship with a feature win.
The main event looked like a video game set to easy mode for Starks who led every lap of the Karmart USA 410 Sprint Cars feature by a comfortable margin. The win netted the Puyallup, Wash., driver a $5,000 payday.
Jason Solwold was second while Joel Myers Jr took third. Robbie Price set fast time on the night with a lap of 11.365 seconds.
