HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A strong field of 21 United Rebel Sprint Series competitors joined the stars of the USAC Silver Crown Series on Saturday night at SaltCity Racing, and when the checkered flag waved it was Jeremy Campbell standing in victory lane for the fifth time in his URSS career.
Campbell drove the No. 51 to the lead early and survived several challenges throughout the 20-lap Eby Trailers & Truck Bodies A-Feature to score the victory over Taylor Velasquez and Jordan Knight.
The biggest moment of the night came on a lap six restart when Ty Williams, who had been one of the fastest cars all evening, flipped the No. 911 machine over the turn two wall while battling for the race lead entering turns one and two. Williams had earlier set quick time in qualifying with a lap of 19.785 seconds and finished second in his heat race before the heartbreaking incident ended his night early.
Following the restart, Campbell maintained control out front while Taylor Velasquez worked his way into the runner-up position. Jordan Knight completed the podium in third, while Kelby Fetters crossed the stripe fourth and Steven Richardson rounded out the top five.
Tyler Knight finished sixth ahead of Conner Thomas, Ace Moore, Brian Herbert and Jon Freeman to complete the top ten.
Campbell’s victory also tightened the championship picture after just two completed races on the 2026 United Rebel Sprint Series season. Campbell and Taylor Velasquez now leave Hutchinson tied atop the championship standings with 292 points each heading into the next event at WaKeeney Speedway on Friday, May 15.
