National Sprint Rankings: Gravel On A Tear

Rain washed out multiple 410 winged sprint car races this past weekend, but there was action in the Eastern and Western regions.

The season’s big winners highlighted the weekend with World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel winning a pair of features, giving him five wins on the season.

Meanwhile, Kyle Larson picked up a High Limit triumph and has won three times in six starts this year.

Eighteen drivers have reached 10 starts on the season and Gravel is the best of those with an average finish of 2.167.

The National Sprint Car Rankings will not open until drivers start reaching the 20-start plateau later this spring.

Five of the seven regions have opened the 410 winged sprint car season. Gravel leads the standings in two of those regions.

Gravel tops both the Eastern and Mid-America regions, while Sam Hafertepe Jr. leads the Western region rankings and Cap Henry (Great Lakes) and A.J. Flick (OH-PA) also have early season leads.

One hundred 83 drivers have competed in at least one 410 winged sprint car feature this season.

Gravel leads the country with five victories through the first 26 races of the season, while 20 different drivers have combined to win those 26 features.

The points:

  2. Carson Macedo 284
  3. Logan Schuchart 282
  4. Brock Zearfoss 253
