CENTER LISLE, N.Y. — Byron Worthing made the most of a good starting position after a tough couple of weeks at Thunder Mountain Speedway to claim his first Dirt Track Digest TV 35-lap Modified feature win of the season. Worthing led all but the first two laps before taking the checkered flag.
The rest of the winners on Saturday night included Dylan Piersall, who scored his first DIRTcar Sportsman win of 2026; Jared Spalding with the IMCA Modifieds; Mike Morse earned his second victory of the season in the Factory Stocks; Dylan Randall picked up a dramatic first win in the 600cc Sprints; Tommy Paige took the win in the 600cc Modifieds; and Aaron Pugh captured the Classics on Dirt 20-lap feature.
Landon Cummins and Worthing led the Dirt Track Digest TV Modifieds to the green. Cummins kept Worthing at bay while working the bottom groove over the opening two laps before a melee in turn two caused a massive incident. Several cars were involved, including current Modified points leader Darren Smith.
On the restart, another incident occurred when multiple cars again got together, this time in turn two.
Worthing went to the top of turns one and two on the next attempt at green-flag action and hustled around Cummins to take the race lead while Brett Tonkin advanced to the runner-up position.
Tonkin began applying pressure to Worthing on lap six. He stayed glued to Worthing’s rear bumper for the next several circuits, looking for a way around the No. 63.
By halfway, Worthing maintained his advantage over the field as he began to close in on slower traffic.
Shaun Walker worked the outside lane on lap 21 and was able to pull alongside Worthing for the lead. The duo stayed side-by-side for several laps, with Worthing maintaining the edge at the line each time.
As Walker, Tonkin, Cody Higbie, and Nick Nye battled for second in the closing laps, Worthing was able to pull away and secure the victory.
Tonkin finished second after starting third, while Nye came home third. Walker slipped back to finish fourth, and Jordan Millard secured the fifth position in the closing laps.
Dylan Piersall put together a dominant performance in the 25-lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature, leading all 25 circuits from the pole to score his first victory of the season. Piersall was never headed as he controlled the race from the drop of the green flag, crossing the finish line ahead of Sullivan Dickey, who charged from fifth to finish second.
Matt Brewer advanced from the 10th starting spot to complete the podium in third, while Jacob Waibel finished fourth and Cody Jackson made an impressive run from 12th to round out the top five.
Jared Spalding charged to victory in the 25-lap IMCA Modified feature, taking the lead from early pace-setter Jason Benjamin on lap nine and never looking back for the win. Benjamin, who started on the pole, led the opening eight laps before Spalding made the decisive pass and pulled away to secure the victory. Jake Maynard turned in an impressive drive from the 13th starting position to finish second, while Benjamin settled for third. Doug Stack Sr. crossed the line fourth, with AJ Hunsinger completing the top five after starting seventh.
Mike Morse made a race-winning move in the 20-lap Factory Stocks feature, charging from third to first on lap 12 with a pass of then-leader Bobby Hall Jr. Morse, who started fifth, took control just past the halfway point and drove away for the victory. Brian Rhodes advanced from eighth on the grid to finish second, while Lukas Mills completed the podium in third. Hall Jr. settled for fourth after leading the early stages, and Buck Mills Jr. rounded out the top five.
Dylan Randall snatched a dramatic victory in the 20-lap 600cc Sprint feature, making a last-lap pass in turns three and four after the leaders tangled while battling for the win. Randall, who started from the pole, capitalized when Cameron Searls and Zach Bobbett made contact coming to the checkered flag, allowing him to slip past and claim the exciting victory. Casey Williams raced from seventh to finish second, while Wayne Stella Jr. charged from 10th to complete the podium in third. Searls recovered from the late-race incident to finish fourth, with Timothy Westlake advancing from ninth to fifth at the finish.
Tommy Paige scored his first victory of the 2026 season in the 20-lap 600cc Modified feature, taking the lead from Leon Poirier on lap 12. He paced the field the rest of the way for the win. After starting third, Paige tracked down Poirier and made the decisive pass just past the halfway point. Brandon Loucks turned in an impressive charge from 15th to finish second, while Poirier settled for third. Pole sitter Anthony Desimone crossed the line fourth, and Doug Windhausen advanced from 14th to complete the top five.
Aaron Pugh picked up the win in the 20-lap Classics on Dirt Modified feature after inheriting the lead on lap 11 when race leader Dan Morden spun in turn three. Pugh, who started seventh, took advantage of the opening and paced the remainder of the event to secure the victory. Josh Rushlo delivered an impressive drive from 14th to finish second, while Ryan Hegarty advanced from ninth to complete the podium in third. Tom Fletcher finished fourth, and Mark Schenck charged from 13th to round out the top five.
