DAVENPORT, Iowa — Dirt will fly and engines will roar at Davenport Speedway this year. The 105th year of the race track at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds will be under a new promoter.
Jeffrey Struck and SR Promotions will be at the helm. Struck is already familiar with Davenport, the competitors and its fans. Struck has 40 career feature wins at the track and four track championships in the street stock division.
SR Promotions has already begun to acquire track prep equipment and has many staff members returning from last year. The Koehler Electric Season Opener is slated for April 12.
While final touches are being put on this year’s schedule, the weekly classes and their sponsors have been announced.
