Madden Is Volunteer Late Model Master

BULLS GAP, Tenn. — Chris Madden returned to victory lane Monday night at Volunteer Speedway.

The veteran dirt late model driver passed Garrett Smith on lap 38 and led the remainder of the 52-lap Scott Sexton Memorial.

He held off Mike and Camaran Marlar during the closing laps to bank the $7,552 top prize in the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals sanctioned event.

Jimmy Owens finished third with Sam Seawright completing the top five.

Madden was the fast qualifier for the 31-car field with a lap of 12.322 seconds.
