CONCORD, N.C. — Driving the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 54 Toyota, Taylor Gray won the pole for Saturday afternoon’s BetMGM 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Gray ran a best lap of 30.598 seconds at 176.482 mph to earn his second pole in nine races this season.
He’ll share the front row with JR Motorsports driver Conner Zilisch, who returned to the seat of the No. 88 Chevrolet after missing one race because of a back injury suffered in a crash at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
Austin Hill qualified third in a Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, while William Byron took the fourth spot in a Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.
JGR racers Brandon Jones and William Sawalich will share the third row.
