ALGER, Wash. — Two weeks of racing has equaled two wins for Trey Starks in the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 Sprints Car division at Skagit Speedway.
It was Star Wars night at the track and Starks definitely felt the force with him on the night. Fading back to eighth early in the main, Starks made a huge burst up the field, going from 8th to 2nd in a matter of four laps before setting sail for race leader Colton Heath.
Heath maintained his lead until lap 17 when he caught in the ultra slick middle of the track coming off turn four, giving room enough for Starks to power underneath him for the pass. From there, Trey would lead the rest of the way for his second race win in a row in the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 class.
It was also the first race of the 360 Summer Challenge Series, an eight race mini series between Skagit Speedway and Grays Harbor Raceway.
The reigning champion of the series Colton Heath and original series champ Cam Smith waged an absolute war for second place with the position changing hands multiple times before Heath kept it for the final four laps. Smith took an impressive third. Starks was quick time. Heat wins went to Levi Hillier, Smith and Robbie Price.
Cole Logan ran an impressive race to win the feature for The Skagit Casino Resort IMCA Modifieds.
With a midpack starting spot, Logan picked his way to the front quickly, taking the lead from Jeff Hunt on lap seven and going virtually unchallenged the rest of the way for the win. Adam Holtrop was second while Tyson Blood came from ninth to third. Holtrop was also a heat race winner along with Lane Zerbin.
The Hornets made their first appearance of 2026 and it was Steve Peters driving to the win.
