GLORY DAYS: Foyt Wins Sixth Hoosier Hundred

A.J. Foyt drove to an impressive sixth victory in the Hoosier Hundred for the USAC Championship Car Series at the Indiana State Fairgournds.

“When are you going to give me the title to this place?” Foyt asked in victory lane.

Foyt’s first victory of the season was also the 42nd of his career.

He earned $19,417 from a record $73,210 purse at the historic one-mile dirt track.

Gary Bettenhausen finished second with Bobby Unser third.
