Michael Good, Lali Michelsen This Week’s Guests On The Pits Are Open

Michael Good, President of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and veteran motorsports communication executive Lali Michelsen are Will Marotti’s guests this week on The Pits Are Open, premiering Thursday, June 11th at 6pm ET on SPEED SPORT 1.

Michael Good is President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, a position he assumed on February 2, 2026, after serving as President of Performance Racing Industry (PRI) since 2024. A respected motorsports and business executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience, Good was selected following a nationwide search to lead one of the most iconic institutions in motorsports history.

As President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, Good oversees the Museum’s strategic growth, fundraising, educational initiatives, and daily operations. He is leading efforts to build upon the Museum’s successful reopening following its major renovation and is helping advance the organization’s next phase of expansion, including a new restoration and event facility. Under his leadership, the Museum has continued to receive national recognition, including being named one of TIME’s World’s Greatest Places for 2026.

 

Lali Michelsen

Lali Michelsen is a veteran marketing, advertising, and communications executive who has worked as a copywriter and creative director with agencies including Wunderman, Dentsu, and PUREBLINK. A lifelong motorsports enthusiast with roots in Miami, Colombia, New York, and Toronto, she combines deep racing knowledge with brand strategy and content creation expertise. 

She is the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Business of Speed, a motorsports-focused media, consulting, and marketing company that helps brands, teams, sponsors, and executives navigate the business side of racing through strategic communications, activations, partnership development, and content creation. 

The Business of Speed show and publication, co-hosted with Vincenzo Landino, focuses on the money, sponsorships, ownership structures, technology, and commercial forces driving Formula 1, IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, Formula E, SailGP, and other racing series.
