Regular readers will recall that we’ve been looking at the past in a manner borrowed from comedian Jeff Foxworthy, whose routines always began, “You might be a redneck if…” 
As we while away the hours in relative isolation from the world, we got to thinking about some more signs that you might be an old timer, a topic we’ve enjoyed looking at before.
Since our initial look at the past highlighting signs that you might be an old timer, a number of other standards have come to mind.
Someone asked me recently how old you have to be to be considered an old timer. My answer was that it’s not a number, it’s a state of mind.
Anyone who races has to enjoy it.  Otherwise the never-ending work and time spent going down the highway wouldn’t be worth it.
The question we’ve fielded most often over our years with SPEED SPORT is “How did you get to be a writer with them?”
