Sprint Rankings Gain Traction

Weather continues to keep the 410 winged sprint car season from gaining traction, as only three events were run this past weekend.

Carson Macedo won the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event at California’s Merced Speedway and became the first driver to win three features this season.

While no driver has yet to compile the 20 starts required to open the National Sprint Car Rankings, the Eastern and Western regions continue to be open.

Brent Marks won his first feature of the season Saturday at Pennsylvania’s Lincoln Speedway and he leads the Eastern region standings over two-time winner Anthony Macri, who won Sunday at Port Royal Speedway.

Macedo leads the Western region standings over three-time and defending World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet.

Sixteen drivers have combined to win the 20 features run this season.
