A good weather weekend saw 19 winged 410 sprint car programs run across the country with 10 drivers winning their first feature of the season.
But more significantly, 13 drivers have now reached the 20-start plateau that is required to open the National Sprint Car Rankings. As a result, David Gravel leads the national standings on the strength of a 2.952 average finish in 21 starts this season.
The World of Outlaws point leader’s average finish is a full three places better than second-place Logan Schuchart, who has an average finish of 6.048. Carson Macedo is third with a 6.667 average finish.
Anthony Macri earned his sixth victory of the season in Saturday’s Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway and moved to the top of the Eastern region standings. Sam Hafertepe Jr. continues to lead the Western region and Carson Macedo tops the Mid-America stanza.
Cap Henry holds the point in the Great Lakes region by two markers over Bryce Lucius. Austin McCarl paces the Great Plains region. With a victory at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, A.J. Flick tops the PA-OH region. Trey Starks leads the Northwester region.
Fifty-three drivers have combined to win the 86 features run this year, while 457 drivers have made at least one 410 winged sprint car start this year.
