Dover & Estenson To Share Seat Time

SPRINGFIELD, Neb. — Jack Dover and Tim Estenson will share time behind the wheel for Tim Estenson Motorsports this season.

Dover is aiming for a 20-race schedule mostly made up of running for his second straight Cressman Sanitation Midwest 410 Sprint Touring Series championship. His first start of the season is scheduled for May 17 at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., during the Bull Haulers Brawl presented by Folkens Brothers Trucking.

“My first goal is try to keep the winning streak alive,” said Dover, who holds a 21-year winning streak. “I think I’ve had a win every year since the beginning of my career. We want to race smart, clean and not tear stuff up. We want to run our best and hopefully that leads to multiple wins. Going back to back on championships is on our radar. If we can race smart and clean and have decent results, I think we’ll be a contender.”

Estenson’s plan is approximately 30-to-35 races with a true outlaw schedule of chasing the best races around the Midwest.

“A big part of it is trying to get back to the basics,” he said. “We’ll see if me sitting out a year has been beneficial when I get back behind the wheel. I think I can speak a lot more regarding feedback after sitting back and watching Jack race last year. Even that one race I got to race last year I felt a lot different, could feel a lot more than before so I think it was pretty beneficial.

“My focus is just to be consistent and build on that. No DNFs would be huge. Obviously I’d like to get five wins, but I’d really like to try to build on consistency and the wins will come from that.”

Estenson’s first scheduled race is May 30 at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Neb. He and Dover are both planning to race that night during a Cressman Sanitation Midwest 410 Sprint Touring Series event.
