Award-winning sports journalist Nathan Brown and VP Curation and Education at the IMS Museum join Will this week on The Pits Are Open.
Nathan Brown is an award-winning sports journalist with The Indianapolis Star (IndyStar), where he serves as a Colts beat reporter while continuing to provide coverage of the Indianapolis 500 and other major events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Before joining the Colts beat in late 2025, Brown spent six seasons as IndyStar’s lead motorsports reporter, earning a reputation for well-sourced reporting, insightful analysis, and comprehensive IndyCar coverage. His work has made him a trusted voice among racing fans and industry professionals alike.
Jason Vansickle serves as Vice President of Curation and Education at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, where he oversees the Museum’s world-renowned vehicle collection, restoration program, exhibitions, and educational initiatives. Beginning his career as an IMS tour guide in 2011 while in college, he has advanced through curatorial leadership to become one of the museum industry’s rising voices in automotive history.
Vansickle has played a central role in the Museum’s award-winning transformation, helping create immersive exhibits that preserve and share the legacy of the Indianapolis 500 for future generations while expanding the Museum’s national and international reach.
