CLERMONT, Ind. — Nathan Byrd and Kyle O’Gara claimed victories during Wednesday Night Thunder midget competition at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Byrd won the 20-lap national midget feature, beating fast-qualifier Kody Swanson to the checkered flag by .453 seconds on the five-eighths-mile asphalt oval.
Michael Lewis, Bobby Santos and Kyle Hamilton compoeted the top five.
O’Gara outran a stellar field in the All-Star Midget main event, leading Chase Locke to the checkered flag by 1.134 seconds after 25 laps.
Dyland Coutu, Jim Anderson and Ben Mikitarian completed the top five.
Others competing in the All-Star event included Ken Schrader, Kaylee Bryson, Jake Trainor, Byrd, Sammy Swindell and Davey Hamilton Jr.
